My Story

Our son Declan was a superhero.

He battled an aggressive childhood cancer called neuroblastoma from the age of four until he passed away at just eight-years-old in 2017. Through it all he endured chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, stem cell transplant and immunotherapy.

In 2015 and 2016 Declan was put on a clinical trial funded by The Kids’ Cancer Project. He was extremely well while on this treatment, allowing us to have more quality time with him as a family.

More than ever before, we are determined to help fund research to find better treatment options and a cure for all childhood cancers so that other kids have a better chance of survival.

Starting on Friday 31st August, in Declan’s honour, our family along with a team of friends and supporters will embark on a ten day 600km scooter ride travelling through rural Western Australia. We’ll be dressing up in superhero costumes along the way.

Our aim is to raise awareness and funds to help all kids with childhood cancer, now and in the future.

100% of funds raised will go to The Kids’ Cancer Project because of their dedication towards finding new treatments and research into all childhood cancers.

You can support us by donating to the link provided or join us on the ride. Entry fee is $50 per person per day. See maps for details.

Keep an eye out for superheros on scooters in a town near you!

Thank You
